BIG SENCE

Big Sence

Rafael "Big Sence"Sanchez is definitely making his way and proving that Latino’s can make
it in the Hip Hop industry.

“I want to show that we Latin’s can be us. That we are nice on the microphone and can generate sales.”

Raised in the Dominican Republic and the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, Hip-Hop helped inspire and help him adapt to his surroundings. “It motivated me because I did see violence and drugs . Bushwick was a tough neighborhood growing up, it was crack infested and drew our family members to sell or use drugs. When you pressure coal you get diamonds and once I moved back to Brooklyn from D.R. Hip Hop showed me how to adapt to my new environment.”

Sence got into music around the age of eight. He knew Hip-Hop was for him. He loves writing and being creative. “My versatility is something yet to be witnessed in Hip Hop.” As he grew as an artist he came up with the name Big Sence “it’s from the lack of sense people and the world has.”

As any Latin artist trying to break onto the Hip-Hop scene, Sense has dealt with stereotypes and negativity, especially during the Reggaeton era . “Back then if it wasn’t Reggaeton , labels would basically turn down meetings. As Latinos we’ve never gotten the respect we deserve.”

Big Sence has worked with numerous big name artist like: LOON, Joell Ortiz, Juganot as well as opened up shows for artist such as : Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Trina, Bubba Sparxxs, Rick Ross, Zion y Lennox, Fat Joe and Tego Calderon. He currently has a single out with Latin Hip Hop artist Lumidee called Que Lo Que Pasa Aqui.”

Big Sence is both focused and humble, which says a lot about a person. He has a lot of work he is planning on accomplishing. “I plan on reaching the stars, no one plays the game to win little.”
